Proxies

A proxy hides your IP from Roblox. For example, if your IP is 1.2.3.4, and you use a proxy with an IP of 35.54.123.54:80, Roblox won't be able to see that your IP is 1.2.3.4. Instead, Roblox will see the proxy's IP address (34.54.123.54).

This reduces the chance of a ratelimit occurring. if Roblox sees 100,000 web requests coming from a single IP, they will know that it's a bot and block requests from that IP. If you split the 100,000 requests between 1000 proxies, Roblox will only see 100 requests per IP. This won't trigger their anti-bot mechanisms and will overall help with speed and ensure you don't get blocked by Roblox.
